The 2012 Manchester CICADA Saturday 26th May 2012 11:00 am Registration with Tea and Coffee 11:30am Competition begins

The venue is the Farnworth Methodist Church Hall which is located in Widnes approximately 300 yards from Widnes Railway station.We will be having Danny Whiteside from 'Deafness Research UK' talk to us on latest research into causes of hearing loss and Tinnitus and hopefully one of the main Implant manufacturers Refreshments donated by the Committee will be provided on arrival along with a buffet Lunch served at 1pm at £7.75 cost to Members . Cicada Christmas Carvery Lunch
Held on Saturday 26th November at the Puss-in-Boots Pub in Offerton was well attended and an enjoyable meal was had by all. Photographs will be on our Facebook page.

We had a good meeting with 15 members attending for a three course meal.

Canal Walk -10th July 2011
This walk was along the Caldon Canal Staffordshire, 
from Cheddleton to Froghall.
For most of the way, the canal is adjacent to the Churnet Valley Railway which runs steam trains most weekends in the summer between Cheddleton and Froghall.

BCIG Conference 2012 Manchester 15th - 16th March
The British Cochlear Implant Group would like to invite you to attend our annual meeting, hosted by the Manchester Auditory Implant Programme.This year’s meeting will focus on current issues in auditory implantation including hearing preservation surgery, advances in auditory brainstem implantation and cochlear drug delivery systems.
The setting for the meeting is The Hilton Hotel, Deansgate in central Manchester.
As with previous meetings the aim is to encourage discussion in a relaxed setting. The venue has excellent conference facilities whilst allowing easy access to the all the attractions of central Manchester. We very much look forward to seeing you.
